Tyrol
Boomer's relationship with Tyrol was hidden, because as an officer, her relationship with him was against military protocol. Hidden is used loosely because so many people knew about their relationship and overlooked it. After the Cylon attacks, Colonel Tigh tells Tyrol and Boomer that they're in war and need to put a stop to it because their relationship can't continue being overlooked.
It continued anyway. Boomer and Tyrol were in love. They risked it all for each other, extremely so at some points. When Boomer found the G-4's and an investigation was going on to find out who was responsible for the destruction of the water tanks, Tyrol covered for Boomer so much. He said he found that the G-4's were missing, because Boomer was worried that blame would be sent her way. Tyrol told Boomer that someone must have drugged her, and that someone was trying to frame her. I really believe that Tyrol truly thought Boomer was innocent.
That didn't last long. After one of his crew members was sent to the brig for confessing to leaving a hatch open for a Cylon, a crime he didn't commit to cover for Tyrol and Boomer, Tyrol ended his relationship with Boomer. He said it was because someone being punished for their secrets and lies was too much, but I also think that Tyrol started to doubt Boomer. Maybe too many things were popping up around Boomer for her not to be a Cylon, too many things he had to cover for. He asked her if she left the hatch open, something to which Boomer took great offense.
Boomer's emotional downslide started happening after Tyrol broke up with her. With no parents, and her partner Helo supposedly dead, Tyrol was the only thing Boomer had left. He was her support system in a way. He took that away and she became depressed, and bitter towards him.
After her attempted suicide Tyrol told her she needed help. She told him he made it clear that help wouldn't be coming from him, and that she's in this alone. I think her loneliness along with not knowing what or who she was brought her to her all time low. I don't think she would have attempted suicide if she still had Tyrol.
