Battlestar
My boyfriend was telling me I should watch Battlestar Galactica for a while. It's his favorite show, so I consented, but I wasn't optimistic about it. I think it was because I felt like the show was going to be like Star Trek, a show I find pretty boring. I mean, it took place in space, and all.
I treaded through the miniseries with him one night, and it wasn't bad, so the next day I watched the second episode. After that I was hooked. I think it's the Cylons that I find so interesting about the show, but the humans are definitely not boring either. Gaius Baltar is my least favorite character by far, and I find even him interesting.
The Eights (Boomer and Sharon) are my favorite characters, but they're followed closely by Six, Helo, and Roslin.
Aside from the great and diverse characters, I think what makes this show so awesome is its surprises in plot. I spend so much time in shock while I'm watching the show, and many times I'll be on what I think is my last episode for the day when something crazy happens and I end up watching more.
