Character Select

You've reached the meat of my domain -- my character shrines. They are probably the reason you're even here. I run tributes to a variety of characters from video games to TV shows, and even a manga. The shrine descriptions will let you know what the shrine is to if you don't recognize the character, why I made the shrine, and what's in store for the site's future. I hope you enjoy my shrines. I do.

Ripples - I knew I wanted to make a site to a character in Hitoshi Iwaaki's Parasyte as soon as I finished the series. There were no other sites to the series online, and the manga deserves a good fan dedication to promote it. That's my altruistic reason. ;) Selfishly, I wanted a place to organize my thoughts on the series and the questions it left me asking. I tried to do both on this shrine. Reiko Tamura is a character with heart, part of a species that eats humans.What's not to love? This is my first animanga dedication, and it was truly a fun experience. I learned so much about Japanese culture through research for this site. Hopefully you'll learn something by visiting it.

Silent Lucidity - I recently got into Battlestar Galactica, and I fell in love with the Cylons, particularly Number Eight, the prototype of Boomer and Athena. I initially set out to just shrine Athena, but I think Boomer and Athena are characters better understood when they are analyzed together. Athena spends a lot of time answering for actions Boomer took, for example. I think what I like most about Boomer and Athena is that they both are struggling with who they are, what is right, and what side to be on. They leave me with a lot to think about, and consequently a lot to write about. Silent Lucidity was made for indulgence's sake more than anything else, as I wanted a place to vent and organize my thoughts while I watch the series. It's actually grown quite a bit. It's even home to the Athena fanlisting. Join if you're a fan!

Forget Me Not - This is a site I created on whim. In the last episode of Battlestar Galactica, Starbuck pulled at my heartstrings and made me appreciate her for the very things I disliked her for throughout the series. Starbuck is a character controlled by her destiny, and of all the terrible things in her life, her one fear is that she'd be forgotten. I created this one page to analyze the parts of Starbuck that I found most interesting while trying to make others see what it is I like about her. While it's very opinionated and very full of spoilers, this is not your one-stop site for Kara Thrace, but I never intended it to be. I hope it's enjoyable regardless.

In Limbo

While still viewable, these sites are old, not up to the quality of my newer sites, and in need of complete rewrites. They will likely be remade, but I'm not sure what to do with them yet.
