Prelude
If you're looking for THE Tidus shrine, one that analyzes every aspect of his character and being from his name down to his sign, you need to check out one of my affiliates. I'm affiliated with two amazing Tidus shrines that do just that and more. I didn't want to create one of those, though. In my welcome paragraph I wrote that this is a personal dedication, and I meant it. Unlike every other site I've created, I made this site for me. I wrote about my appreciation of Tidus as well as my empathy for him, and because Tidus gave me such a strong feeling of empathy, this site has a lot of me in it. Granted, I wrote this site a couple years ago when I was down because of family problems, so it has a lot of emo-me in it. That's okay though. As corny as this sounds, while cleaning up this site and rereading my content, I was able to feel what I felt two years ago while writing this, and because of that, with the exception of the People page that I plan to expand, I've decided to freeze the current informative-content. The interaction section and naturally the site section will continue to be updated, and I will start adding new information sections after my next FFX replay, but the pages in the Tidus section that are up now will not be edited. I feel like editing them will make them less subjective, something I plan to do with the future sections of this site, and even though that might seem like a really postive thing, to me it's not. It'll take away what makes this site so personal to me, and I don't want to lose the feeling in those essays.
Having said that, this is a dedication to Tidus. I covered a lot of his character two years ago, and yet I feel like there's so much left I can cover. Cleaning up this site resparked my love for my favorite character, and it inspired me to do more. I plan to cover Tidus from Dissidia when it comes out in America, and I plan to give Final Fantasy X at least one more playthrough for the expansion of this shrine. Basically what I'm saying is look out, there's more coming.
I hope you enjoy my little tribute to Tidus, but if you don't that's okay. It may be too subjective for you, but like I said, this site was made for me. In the very least, check out the interaction section; there you'll find my terrible art and other people's interpretation of Tidus, something I find very fascinating and appealing.
