Blitzball
Here's something that shouldn't be too far a stretch of your imagination: I suck at Blitzball. It's probably because I don't like sports too much and didn't take a huge interest in that part of the game. It's an important part of Tidus' being, though, so I figured I needed to cover it at least in part.
We first meet Tidus right before a Blitzball game. Without knowing what it is, we can see it's important to the town of Zanarkand because the people there are going wild. Tidus is a star player for his team, and because of that he's a celebrity there. His father Jecht was apparently a Blitzball legend, too, and Tidus, though resenting Jecht, is following in his footsteps.
To Tidus, before he met Yuna and became one of her guardians, Blitzball was his life. And that says a lot about his character.
Blitzball is most important to the story, I think, when Tidus is found on the beach by Wakka. His talent is recognized by Wakka, and through Blitzball Tidus is able to get close to Wakka and begin fitting in to the group.
I have ADD and the game bores me, but if you find yourself liking it you can play it anytime you want at save points.
Poltergeist was created and is maintained by me, Todd, and is part of the Dragonzord Network. This shrine was made for fun and is entirely non-profit. It is made up of my own personal opinions and perception. Sadly, I don't own Tidus or Final Fantasy X. They are both property of Square-Enix. Please don't sue me.
